Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone!

Wow – where has the time gone!! I think my New Years resolution is definitely going to be writing more blog posts!

Its been a whirlwind of travelling since my last post, with an amazing trip to South America and now   spending time once again in New Zealand.

Travelling in South America was truly breathtaking, with the scenery changing like the seasons. From the vibrant Rio, I met an amazing group of people that quickly became my friends. We sunbathed (well I tried!) on the beautiful beaches of Ilha Grande, partied it up in Paraty (possibly a little too much!) before a visit to the epic Igazu Falls. A trip further down to Uruguay took us to some peaceful days in Estancia, staying in a ranch where we tried our hand at cow milking, baking bread and riding horses – and I even took a quick yoga class! From Montevideo we took a trip further down to the historic Colonia before a ferry ride over to Buenos Aires – a city filled with so much life and passion! We took a trip to the colourful La Boca and later celebrated our time together with a tango show, and even a class! I think I’ll be sticking to belly dancing for now!

While you are travelling you spend so many days moving from one place to another it gives you time to reflect on the experiences you are having and what is important to you. There are times where I’ve felt a little lost at sea; as you move around and meet so many great people it can become hard to ground yourself, and as friends move on it can feel like a lot of goodbyes! On reflection I think I found a great anchor in my friends from my time in South America, and I hope to be seeing as many of them as I can again – I’ve already met up with the fabulous Erica here in New Zealand! So a huge hug and kiss to all of you, me gusta! X

With all this travelling my yoga time sadly has been getting shorter and shorter, with little time for classes – but I’m hoping as I start to settle in places for a little longer I will be able to give myself more time to practise and play! I know things often get very hectic over the Christmas season, but I hope you still all take time to take stock of all that you have and enjoy time with loved ones and friends – and if you want a quick 10 minute yoga session you know you can always find my free yoga classes online at www.laurabradyyoga.uk

So from here in New Zealand I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! I hope whether with family, friends – or even friends not yet made, you find your anchor this Christmas and have a wonderful time.

Take care,

Laura x
